🔑 1. Your Account

Creating your Sovatalk expert account is free and takes less than two minutes. You register yourself directly on the site — no invitation or admin approval needed to get started.

Registering with Email

Go to sovatalk.com and click Become a Sova.
On the registration page, select the Expert tab.
Enter your email address and choose a password, then click Create Account.
Check your inbox for a verification email from Sovatalk. Click the confirmation link inside.
Check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
Once verified, your account is active. You can now sign in and set up your profile.

Registering with Google (SSO)

If you prefer not to use a password, you can sign up instantly using your Google account:

On the registration page, click Continue with Google.
Choose your Google account from the popup. No password is needed — Google handles authentication.
Your account is created and you are signed in immediately. No email verification step is required.
Google SSO vs. Email: Both methods create the same type of expert account. Google SSO is faster and doesn't require remembering a password. Either way, your account features, earnings, and wallet are identical.
After signing in: Head straight to Settings to complete your profile, set your channel description, and configure your earnings preferences before going live.

⚙️ 2. Your Profile & Settings

Settings let you control your public profile, channel appearance, and earnings configuration. Access them via the Settings link in the top navigation bar once signed in.

Profile & Display Name

Set your display name, avatar, and a short bio that viewers will see on your channel page. A warm, approachable profile image and a clear description of what you offer will significantly increase your session bookings.

Channel Settings

Configure your channel title, category tags, and the welcome message shown to visitors. You can also set your per-minute rate for private 1-on-1 sessions here.

🔴 3. Going Live

Sovatalk uses your browser's built-in webcam to stream. There is nothing to install — just click Go Live from your dashboard and allow camera & microphone access when your browser prompts.

Open your dashboard and click the Go Live button.
Allow camera and microphone when the browser permission dialog appears.
Preview your feed in the broadcast panel, then click Start Broadcast.
You are live. Viewers can now find your channel and start watching.

Tip: Good lighting makes a big difference. Face a window or a lamp so your face is well-lit. A quiet, tidy background also builds viewer trust.
Base salary note: The 200 tokens/hr hourly salary is available only to experts selected by the Sova team. If you have been onboarded as a salaried employee, your earnings clock starts the moment you go live. All experts, regardless of salary status, earn through viewer tips and private sessions.

💸 4. How You Earn

Sovatalk experts earn through viewer tips and private session fees, denominated in tokens and converted to Bitcoin on withdrawal. Experts selected by the Sova team also receive a guaranteed hourly base salary.

Base salary (selected employees only): A guaranteed hourly salary of 200 tokens/hr is available exclusively to experts who have been invited and onboarded by the Sova team as salaried employees. If this applies to you, it will be confirmed during your onboarding. All other experts earn through tips and private sessions only.

Token value: 100 tokens = $1 USD. Minimum withdrawal is 500 tokens ($5). Exact BTC conversion rate is shown at cashout time.

🤝 5. Private 1-on-1 Sessions

When you are live, viewers can request a private 1-on-1 session directly from your broadcast room. When you are offline, seekers can send you a private message asking you to come online for a session — they cannot start a session without you being live.

How Private Sessions Work

A seeker clicks "Start Private Session" on your channel while you are live.
They must have a sufficient token balance to start.
You receive a session request notification in the broadcast panel. Accept to begin the private room.
The main broadcast pauses and you enter a private 1-on-1 video room with the seeker.
Tokens are charged per minute at your configured rate and credited to your wallet in real time.
Either party can end the session. You return to your public broadcast automatically.

Setting your rate: Go to Settings → Channel to set your per-minute price. Rates between 5–20 tokens/min tend to perform well.

💳 6. Your Wallet & Withdrawals

Your token balance accumulates in your in-app wallet. When you are ready to cash out, you can withdraw directly to your Bitcoin address at any time.

Requesting a Withdrawal

Navigate to Wallet in the top navigation bar.
Click Cash Out and confirm your Bitcoin address.
Enter the token amount you wish to withdraw (minimum: 500 tokens).
Click Confirm Withdrawal. The BTC transaction is processed within 24 hours.

Double-check your Bitcoin address. Transactions are irreversible — an incorrect address means lost funds. Verify your address in Settings → Earnings before requesting a withdrawal.
Processing time: Withdrawals are reviewed and sent within 24 hours. Once a transaction is broadcast on-chain, it cannot be reversed.

₿ 7. Setting Up Your Bitcoin Wallet

To receive your earnings, you need a Bitcoin wallet. Below are recommended options by region. Choose a wallet that is available in your country and that you are comfortable using.

What is a Bitcoin address? It is a string of letters and numbers (starting with bc1 or 1 or 3) that acts like a bank account number for BTC. Copy your address from your wallet app and paste it into Sovatalk Settings → Earnings.

Self-custody tip: For maximum security, use a non-custodial wallet (BlueWallet, Muun, Electrum) so only you control your funds. Keep your seed phrase offline and never share it.

Adding Your Address to Sovatalk

Open your BTC wallet app and copy your Receive address.
In Sovatalk, go to Settings → Earnings.
Paste the address into the Bitcoin Withdrawal Address field and save.
On your next withdrawal, funds will go directly to this address.
