Coming off sertraline adventures

Hey everyone, I've been on sertraline for two and a half years, trying out different dosages. Then, for some reason, I switched to fluoxetine for just one month because of the side effects. Now my doctor says I can stop it cold turkey. Anyone else ever just quit their meds like that? Worried about how to handle this safely. Advice would be super appreciated!

Thanks! I've been off my meds for like 16 whole weeks now-feeling pretty good honestly.

No side effects? Which meds are you on? Thinking about quitting mine too.

I was on that stuff for like three whole years-sertraline, right? My tip is to seriosuly taper off instead of just stopping cold turkey. Honestly, I'm still dealing with some lingering side effects even now.

Thanks! I'm wondering if it's normal to still feel the effects at 16 weeks after stopping.

Honestly, don't go off the SSRI meds suddenly-trust me, I've seen friends try it and they end up with some gnarly side effects.
