🚨 If you are in immediate danger, call 911.
SovaTalk is not an emergency service. If there is a risk to life — yours or someone else's — please contact emergency services immediately.
Safety & Crisis
You don't have to handle this alone.
SovaTalk is a platform for connection and support — but we want to be honest about our scope. For crisis situations, please use the dedicated services below. They are free, confidential, and available around the clock.

SovaTalk is not a crisis service
The experts on SovaTalk are real humans offering real support — but they are not dispatchers, emergency responders, or crisis counselors operating under clinical protocols. If you are in acute danger, please use 988 or 911 rather than SovaTalk.
We believe being honest about this boundary is part of keeping our platform safe. Experts are encouraged to refer users to emergency resources whenever appropriate.
Community guidelines
Reporting a concern
If you observe conduct that violates our guidelines, or if you believe an expert has behaved harmfully, please report it. You can use the report button on any expert's profile or stream, or email us directly at support@sovatalk.com.
We review all reports and take action where our guidelines have been violated. Reports can be made anonymously.
A note on safe messaging
SovaTalk follows safe messaging guidelines around suicide and self-harm, developed in alignment with recommendations from mental health organizations. We ask all experts to familiarize themselves with these guidelines and apply them in their sessions. If you have questions about safe messaging practices, the Suicide Prevention Resource Center maintains a comprehensive guide.
