How It Works
Simple, immediate, human.
SovaTalk works differently depending on whether you're here to find support or to offer it. Here's the full picture.
If you're looking for support
Browse live experts
The homepage shows all experts who are streaming live right now. No account needed. Browse profiles, read their background, and see who feels right for what you're going through. You can do all of this as a guest.
Join the public room — free
Click any live expert to enter their public room. You'll see and hear them on video. You can watch, listen, and use the chat. This is completely free. Some people find what they need just from being present in the room.
Request a private 1:1 session
When you're ready for a private conversation, send the expert a session request. If they accept, you'll enter a private video room — just the two of you. Session length and any associated cost are set by the expert and shown on their profile.
If you want to offer support
Create an expert account
Sign up and apply for an expert role. Fill out your profile — your background, specializations, and what kinds of conversations you're equipped to hold. Approval keeps the platform trustworthy.
Go live from your browser or OBS
When you're ready to stream, click "Go Live." Your camera and microphone turn on directly in the browser — no software needed. If you prefer more control, you can stream via OBS or any RTMP-compatible software. You appear on the homepage as live.
Accept private session requests
While you're live, viewers can send you private session requests. You review them and choose whether to accept. Accepted requests open a private 1:1 video room. You set your own session terms in your profile.
Quick answers
Do I need an account?
Not to browse or watch. You only need an account to save your session history, request private sessions, or go live as an expert.
Is it free?
Browsing and watching public rooms is always free. Private 1:1 sessions are offered on terms set by each individual expert — check their profile for details.
How long are private sessions?
Session length is flexible and agreed between you and the expert before the session begins. There's no platform-imposed minimum or maximum.
