Respiridone withdrawal help needed

Need help finding an NHS-approved protocol for coming off Resperidone. Dad is drowsy and can't see psychiatrist for six weeks. He's thinking about quitting cold turkey, but I don't want him to. Found info on dosage changes, like 0.5mg every two wees, but no proper plan. Any experiences or protocols would be great.
