Maybe Feeling A Bit Lot With Adhd-i Guess
I've had trouble with focus for a whhile, and I never really thought it was ADHD because I wasn't hyperactive or super energetic when I was younger. But as I got older and found it harder to do tasks and stay focused on stuff, I decided to check if there might be something neurological going on. So I went to see a psychiatrist, and they suggested an antidepressant as off-label mediine for me. Over time, though, I felt like the medication wasn't really helping much and I was still struggling a lot. Then my doctor prescribed me vyvanse at a low dose and I've been gradually increasing it, but somehow I haven't noticed any big difference. Starting tasks is still tough, and once I do manage to start something, I lose motivation pretty quickly. This has started affecting my personal life negatively, and right now I feel kind of lost. It's really late at night, and instead of working on stuff, here I am typing this lol. Does anyone have any tips for getting tasks done or making the medication work better? For some reason, I just haven't figured it out yet.

It can take a couple of weeks for the medication to start working, or sometimes it may be necessary to try a different medication. It's worth discussing this with your therapist.
What has been helpful for me is breaking tasks down into smaller and more manageable pieces. This approach helps reduce pressure and makes it easier to get things done. As progress is made, confidence tends to build up as well.
