I guess this happens quite often. We invest a lot of time in our hobbies and sometimes end up losing interest.
people with ADHD can be really creative and imaginative, bringing so much energy and fun to their hobbies. I think as long as we enjoy what we do, the duration doesn't matter tat much

Hi there! Nice to meet you too. I guess one way I could describe myself is that I'm pretty inconsistent. Haha, it's kind of funny.
I don't really enjoy doing the exact same things every single day. I love having new experiences, but at the same time, I need some comfort and routine. For example, I like playing guitar, but sometimes I only want to play once a month because I lose patience with practicing songs over and over again. On the other hand, I also enjoy embroidering, but it can get repetitive too, so I take long breaks from it.
I think it's important to be flexible and give yourself time off when you're not feeling excited about something anymore. Maybe taking a break will help you come back with fresh ideas or renewed inspiration.

Hey there! Nice bumping into u. One way I like to describe myself is "constantly contradictory" - LOL. I'm the kind of person who hates routine but also craves stability. Playing guitar is a big love, but some months I might only manage a single session because I lack the patience to drill down on perfection every day. Same with embroidery; it's relaxing, yet I often find myself needing long breaks from it.

The key for me, though, is flexibility and knowing when to step away before borredom sets in. Maybe by the time you come back to your hobby, a fresh wave of creativity hits and things feel exciting all over again!

I experience this as well. Everyone around me believes that I am inconsistent and unreliable when it comes to maintaining my interests.

Recently, I have been pursuing activities that no one expects from me, such as learning to weld, attending a pottery painting session, and taking a single-day course to make perfume. By setting zero expectations for myself and avoiding stress, I look forward to returning to my hobbies, like embroidery and building with Legos. Additionally, I allow myself to savor the anticipation of engaging in these activities, planning them mentally and fully experiencing the excitement they bring.
