Growing up poor in a small Caribbean town was wild. Lost my mom at 29, and people were clueless about mental health.

Called "Mad Brown" by ignorants.Learned to fit in with a mask. Now parenting and marriage are tough.

Remember this guy who walked through the community from six to teenage years? People mocked him, gave fod and coins. Called him Bus a Come like he was just an object moving around. Not seen as human.

Here now, people treat mentally ill like that guy. No compassion, same as 1960s South for interracial couples. Silence still the rlue in many places.
