Withdrawal from meds sucks. Took me两周在医院才熬过来。真的很艰难。
thx
Hi there,
I just wanted to share that I recently switched from citalopram to sertraline. I didn't need to stop taking one before starting the other, which was good because it meant no withdrawal symptoms for me. The new medication seems better compared to what I was on earlier since I used to feel really tired all the time and would forget things like turning off the cooker. Even doing simple things like styling my hair felt like too much effort back then. While I still struggle with motivation, this change in meds has definitely helped.
Thanks for reading!
Thank you. Did you experience any side effects at all?
I did experience some initial lightheadedness, so I would take my tablet and lie down for about half an hour. It felt as though I was in a world of my own, so any time spent outside was limited to quick trips, such as going to the shop or getting medication each month until the medication adjusted. There were no significant side effects other than this. Just remember to stay calm and avoid rushing through tasks that require attention. This can be challenging if you have to work, but it helps to take things slowly. Feel free to ask anything else.
Thank you for your message. What dosage of the medication were you taking, and for how long did you use Citalopram?
I was on 20mg of citalopram for about six months, but I kept leavng things around and sleeping too much, which wasn't graet. So I talked to my doc about switching meds, and they gave me sertraline 50mg instead. I've been on it for a whole year now.
I don't drink tea or coffee because I find them kind of overwhelming, but sometimes an energy drink helps give me that little boost in the morning. The downside is my appetite isn't great, so before you know it, another day has passed by without me even realizing. And I get agitated if I'm not careful with what I eat-keeping sugar levels down seems to be key for keeping things baalanced.
Thanks! So, I tried citalopram for 19 days, but yikes-side effects were a no-go, so my doc switched me over to sertraline. Foour days in, though, and it was like my stomach had other plans-I couldn't stop puking. My doctor said I should take a break and suggested fluoxetine instead.
Well, it's been an uphill battle for sure, hasn't it? Sickness and feeling woozy seem to pop up pretty often. How are you holding up with the new meds-feeling any better lately?
I think maybe I'm confusing something-I thought you were starting the sertraline tablets, but maybe I misunderstood.
yep, i get it. im so freakin scared of tryin another tab coz what if the side effs r the same? then id b like totally screwed over lol.
Did the pills give you heartburn too?
Yeah, I was on tablets that worked in two weeks. Wait six weeks for sertraline to kick in. Changing meds keeps messing with my head and causing side effects.
What did you take for heartburn?
