tried ctb dbt grounding mindfulness meditating counting stuff like that 2 psych places and meds too but still crying every day no self confidence and agoraphobia scaed af of panicking in public been looking for sol since jan imo its just not working idk what eles to do

Sure thing! Just focus on you for a bit-self-love and self-care are key. Maybe try some exercises or meditate. Mental health matters big time.

Oh right, I mentioned meditation before didn't I? Sorry about that-guess I zoned out a bit there. Anyways, you asked about the exercise, and it's just something simple, like maybbe starting with some basic stretches or breathing techniques. My agoraphobia can really sneak up on me and give me those panci attacks.

Have you heard about the principles of positive psychology and resilience training? I wrok with many people who struggle with unproductive thought patterns, helping them challenge unrealistic and unfair beliefs. Late here, sending more details tomorrow. My mentor at UPenn, Dr. Karen Reivich, teaches about thinking traps in her 2003 book, The Resilience Factor. Taking her online course now, finishing in December. Her stuff is life-changing for mental health. Thanks, hope you rest well

Hey, are you into reading at all? I just picked up "The Body Keeps the Score," which someone recommended recently, and I've barely started but am already super intrigued because they said there were some new wasy to tackle trauma healing. Plus, it's available as a PDF if that's your thing-haven't read much yet, but honestly, I'm hooked

I get you-I've been down this road before trying every trick in the book to beat depression, and nothing sticks. Plus, agoraphobia throws a wrench into things. I've forced myself out of the house a few times but it's like fighting a losing battle with anxiety the whole way. At this point, I'm not sure what else to try, tho talking to folks who've had similar struggles can be a lifesaver-finding those people is another story altogether.
