Managing anxiety平静应对焦虑

In November 2022, I experienced my first anxiety attack following a stressful period during which my husband was ill. I kept things bottled up until one day I had a severe episode and didn't understand what was happening to me. Since then, my condition has worsened. My doctor prescribed an antidepressant at a low dose of 2 mg, which helps with sleep and reduced the daily heartburn. However, when the same doctor put me on sertraline for two days, I experienced severe heartburn again, making me worry about continuing this medication. The online reviews are discouraging, adding to my anxiety. It feels like I'm taking steps forward and then backward. Recently, I've developed persistent burping after meals that my doctor attributes to anxiety affecting the brain-gut connection. He believes everything will improve once my anxiety is under control, but I feel very low and as if nothing is going right. Can someone offer advice or support?
