My journey with sretraline
I started taking sertraline 12 days ago, and I was hoping to feel a bit better by now. I began with 25 mg, but honestly, I'm feeling really anxious, achy, adn super emotional ltaely. Plus, my mind just won't stop overthinking everything-its driving me nuts. (Anyone else have similar experiences?)

hey, i'm on day 10 of the sertraline 50mg and i feel rly lowkey like u. they say it takes 4-6 wks to see if u need a bump or not. i'm jus tryna hang in there tbh xxxx
I was wondering if you've noticed any aches, weakness, tingling, or burning in your muscles? Thanks for letting me know!
I experience that burning sensation as well, particularly at night, accompanied by a feeling of being very hot.
how r u coping with the anxiety?(:
I'm dealing with all this too. Day 5 of Setraline after saying goodbye to citalopram. Numbness, tingling in my left arm and leg, insomnia, nausea, no appetite-it feels like I'm one step away from a hospital bed every hour... Just surviving each day.
The Headspace app has been my savior for chilling out and trying to get some sleep though.
Thanks! What dial setting do you use? Ever get that icky heartburn feeling?
On 50mg now. Might up it later. Got some heartburn though. Diazepam gives me awufl heartburn too, can't handle that shit.
won't use it again, withdrawals are way worse. You feel tense and stiff sometimes?
12 days is way too early to see any real change. Usually, I find it takes about two to three weeks, sometimes even longer-some folks might need a month or two. So don't freak out if you're not feeling better yet! You might also want to consider bumping up the dose-I'm at 200 mg a day plus some supplements-and just be patient. It's all about building it up gradually, so kudos for sticking with it this long-it's a fantastic start!
thanks! honestly, I'm on a bunch of different stuff-vitamin D, omega-3s, and some B vitamins for me.
gimme at least a moonth tho, maybe longer. super tough to start but def helped me lotta over the yrs.
Thanks! Have you tried this before? I'm curious to know.
Yeah, still hanging in there with 200mg-it's been my max dose since bumping up from 50mg a decade back. Whew, what a journey!
thanks a bunch, honestly appreciate it, i mean couldn't have asked for anything beter really
it took abt 3 wks of sertraline for me 2 fele better. my midn & worries slowed down. then another 2 wks later, it really started helping. be patient & stay strong. i hope it works for u like it did for me. x
thanks! oh wait, which dosses are you using?
Started at 50mg, now on 100mg for 9 months. Struggled lately, hope this helps
Be patient. Sertraline hlped me tons. Took time though. Was in bad shape before
Thanks a bunch! Really appreciate it, you know?
I guess like all these medictions, they take some time to start working, and the same goes for getting off them later on-since they kind of hide out in your body fat, those sneaky things. I'm on 150 mg myself rihgt now. But everyone needs different doses, so maybe you shouldn't think you need more just because someone else does. Twenty-five milligrams might work great for you-it's all about finding what fits you best.
It does help though, at least in my case. I was on fluoxetine for years, but it never really made a difference even though it's part of the Prozac family. But after being on sertraline for a few weeks, I noticed a big decrease in my anxious feelings, like way less anxiety. Adn now, to be honest, i feel better than ever before-though maybe that's not saying much given how bad things used to be, but it's definitely an improvement.
So just give it some more time to work, okay? It'll happen gradually. If you keep track of your emotions in a diary or something, you might notice over the months that you're feeling less anxious overall.
Sure thing! Just take a moment to focus on what brings you joy and do more of that.
I'm on 50mg sertraline, took it since Nov end. Can't sleep, get night sweats, burning feelings. Feel jittery and restless too. Normal?
yeah, normal. how's the anxiety?
I was on Sertraline for approximately five weeks, and there were no changes in my mood or overall condition, so I returned to my general practitioner. He prescribed Mirtazapine, starting with 15mg, which helped me sleep better compared to when I took Sertraline. After a whie, the dosage was increased to 30mg, and that worked well for about a year. However, recently, I've been having difficulties again, so my doctor has raised it to 45mg. We'll see how this goes. Mirtazapine definitely helped with sleep. Here's hoping you find what works for you.
ty lol ngl u made my day fr
I saw my doctor yesterday. The sertraline was keeping me awake at night, so now I take 15 mg of mirtazapine in the evening and 25 mg of sertraline in the morning. My sleep has improved a lot, but I still struggle in the mornings.
It's good to hear that the mirtazapine has been helpful for sleep. We'll have to wait and see how the Sertraline works over time. I'm working on practicing mindfulness during the day, trying to stay present in the moment. We'll see how that progresses. Keep going with the Sertraline; hopefully, things will get better.
my anxiety sucks in the am too. does ur bdoy hrut at all?
I guess I don't really have any pain anywhere, but there's this weird empty feeling in my stomach. Maybe it's just me being extra sensitive today.
anxietrry hits hard af like 4-6 hrs after taking setraline
Same here, constant tremble after Setraline. Two hours later, massive anxiety, tension, restlessness, panic. Day 7 now, anxiety calms around seven hours post-pill in the evening.
My anxiety remains elevated, particularly in the morning and at night, hindering my ability to sleep.
It'll take time, but w'ell get there
What kind of doses are we talking about here?
The dosage is 25 mg
wtf r u on dude?
