PIP claim approved for mental health reasons
Anyone get PIP for mental health lately?
Had my assessment, now waiting.
Explaining depression and anxiety sucks. Every day's a new struggle.

I haven't tried it personally, although I receive PIP due to my pain issues. To qualify for an award related to mental health, you typically need to be in therapy and attending classes. I am in therapy and participate in various programs, but I find the process of filling out another set of forms tedious and frustrating, as I then have to prove once again that I have mental health issues.
Got refused PIP, asked for review. Got a detailed letter explaining why. Challenged it in independent review. Nurse called with questions then referred to doctor who also asked questions. A year later, doc said I'm accepted for full PIP and one year back payment.
Was really needed because can't explain how bad things are
Just got my PIP enhanced daily living for mental health this week. It's been a wild roller coaster of emotions-first try was a no-go, second attempt worked out fine, then they took everything away in the review, appealed but heard nothing back, and finally nailed it on the third try last November. The Citizens Advice Bureau has these awesome trained advisors for PIP forms too-they really helped me through all this craziness.
