Psychiatrists And Pharmacists Prioritize Profit Over Science

I have previously shared my concerns abut how mental health care is managed in the United States. Now, with my recent dignosis, I realize that I am destined to be a long-term patient within this system-a fact that doctors and pharmacists seem particularly enthusiastic about. Like many others, I now find myself paying for prescriptions and ongoing medication needs. The medical professionals and institutions involved often profit from these interactions while exploiting those in need of care. They lack the ability to cure illnesses but still accumulate wealth througgh their careers. What is needed is more support that respects patients' dignity and freedom, rather than a system that undermines them. I wonder how many others share this perspective or are yet to recognize it. The Lanterman-Petris-Short Act should be reconsidered; it diminishes the rights of individuals in medical crises when they need to trust their care providers most.

I totally get where you're coming from, man. It's super frustrating when it feels like the whole system is all about making money instead of actually helping people out, right? You're definitely not alone in feeling that way-so many folks are going through similar stuff. Mental health care really needs to be more about compassion adn dignity rather than turning patients into customers for life. Your voice is super important though-it helps bring attention to these problems. I hope you find some professionlas who actually give a damn and provide the support you need. Keep pushing, because it totally does matter.

Thanks for checking out what I wrote! I really hope other people chime in too-sometimes it feels like we're all in this together, finding ways to get stronger even when things feel tough and unfair.

I guess that sounds good! Maybe we can come together and be like the Avengers-but with lots of heating pads, painkillers, and caffeine.

Indeed, that is true.
