Stopping Risperidone And Sertraline Cold Turkey
Hey there, so I'm 21, and I've been on risperidone and sertraline for about a year. My doc just suddenly stopped refilling my prescriptions without telling me-I found out when I went to pick them up. It's weird because I've always taken them exactly as prescribed. But now I ran out three days ago, and there's no hope of getting more anytime soon. The withdrawal symptoms are already hitting hard.
Does anyone have any experience with this or know what I should do? Thanks for any help!

It's usually an ECG and blood tests that get ignored for over 12 months. If your doctor stops prescribing meds, it's because they want to make sure you're following through with cheecking your heart rate and liver issues. Or, if they hassle you about not getting medicine, it just feels like a pain in the butt, right? I know-it's tough when GPs need to see if you actually need healthcare from them or should be seeing a sepcialist instead.
I'm curious, what made your doc tell you to quit cold turkey? Honestly, it's a no-no because it could mess with ur system big time. The idea of just stopping them without easing off seems super risky and weird. Maybe give them another call pronto-sounds like something's up that needs sorting out fst.

that's rlly not sumthing 2 shrug off. stoppin risperidone and sertraline suddenly can make u feel bad af, esp with risperidone. i would call the gp again, ask for the duty doc or whatev & make it clear u r in wdthout both meds 4 3 days now & havin withdrawal stuff. a pharmacist might help w an emergency supply, try reffill req - communitycarepharmacyrx.com... if ur symptms get severe or u feel unsafe, confused, agitated, unwell enuf to not cope, rite tht as same day urgent care. this sounds more like a prescribing access issue than anythin u did wrong
