Cures For Mental Illnesses Missing

I don't want to be a lifelong customer of psychiatric treatments and medications prescribed indefinitely for the rest of my life. This course of treatmeent feels sad and disappointing. Where is my freedom as an American citizen in the United States? Is this truly the best care available? Why must I rely on psychiatrists who cannot provide clear answers or solutions?
