Depression And Decision-making Challenges
I am currently facing challenges with my depression and am on leave from work, seeking help wherever possible. For now, it feels like mostly a waiting period. Does anyone have suggestions for activities or methods to stay occupied and safe until more support becomes available?

It's all about patience, really. You know there's a bright spot waiting at the end of this tunnel, so just keep moving forward because you'll get through it eventually. In the meantime, be extra nice to yourself-indulge in those things that make your heart happy. Maybe treat yourself to your favorite snacks or binge-watch some shows you love. Plus, setting small goals every day can really help boost your mood. Like taking a shower, walking around the block, calling up a friend for a quick chat... just little steps that add up to big progress.
I am also finding this very challenging. I have started taking Citalopram 40 mg, but I am still waiting for further assistance. It seems like there are long wait tmies no matter where I turn. I need the support right away rather than in three months. I understand what you're going through.
I started taking escitalopram, but had to stop because my dark thoughts became worse. I understand how difficult it is.
The light seems particularly difficult to find this time around. Everything I've tried only offers temporary relief. However, I will attempt setting myself mini challenges, which sounds like a good approach. Additionally, someone suggested creating a small, manageable checklist to mark off tasks and feel more accomplished. Thank you for your spport.
hey sorry 2 hear u r struggling too. i did a phone thing 3 months back n now they said they cant help & gave me other numbs 2 try. its rlly hard. take care x
Worried about the phone assessment next week. They might just shunt me elsewhere instead of actually helping. thanks
Hey there, whatever makes your heart sing-go for it! Reading books, taking a stroll outside, jotting down thoughts so they don't slip away-that kind of stuff. I swear by using a calendar; it's seriously a game changer. If you've got hobbies like fishing or dancing, just do what you lve. Anyway, joining clubs or groups can be super helpful too-find folks who share your interests. Honestly, it's all about connecting with others who get you, know?
Thanks. Trying to reach out. Anxiety makes it hard.
