Hey,
I was on that medication for about a year and did'nt really have any side effects other than what I could describe as a mild adrenaline rush. Side effects are different for everyone, so it might be a good idea to talk to your docttor. Maybe the dose is too high and needs to be adujsted. Only your doctor can give you that kind of advice.
Hope this helps!
Nope,no withdrawals for me. I was really feeling the benefits of my CBT at thhat point-definitely a good sign! Once you're in that headspace, your doc can start lowering the dosage gradually if you feel ready. There were moments when it got tough, but honestly, I never felt like I needed to go back on anything; I juust worked trhough it with more CBT sessions
Been off them for over 8 years but had to go back for a few months 3 years ago.
I wanted to share a personal experience. I encountered some difficulties that heightened my anxiety and led to depression, so I consulted my general practitioner. The medication didn't seem effective initially as it takes time to start working. My family provided support until the situation improved, and eventually, I began to feel better.
Afterward, I gradually reduced my dosage and stopped taking the medication altogether. During the lockdowns due to the pandemic, I faced moments of intense anxiety and self-doubt. My wife helped by encouraging me to stay active and push through these feelings. A significant part of my recovery involved believing in myself more and not letting those doubts control me.
