Peace hopes
Wishing for peace. Husband finding himself at work. I'm struggling without his constant presence, used to relying on him as a caregiver. It's good to see him succeed but leaves me feeling stuck and behind. Being disabled makes it hard to focus on myself without falling further behind. Emotions drain me

Thanks for sharing that! It's important to remember we're all people first and foremost. Emotions are a big part of being human,so if they're getting too intense or feel overwhelming, it's okay to reach out for some professional help. There are lots of options now with therapy available online thanks to things like Zoom.
If you prefer going solo, there are plenty of self-help e-books and regluar books on Amazon that can offer guidance too.
Hey, have you thought about joining a support group? There might be a Peer Support Drop-In Center near you. Also, universities often run mental health programs where they offer help for free or at low cost to people who need it-it's a win-win since students get experience and you get some help But yeah, I'm not super organized with this stuff myself, so if anyone has tips on finding these groups, let me know!
Oh my gosh, totally get where you're coming from! If my husband could retire and be around more, I'd probably cut down on the meds or even stop them lol. We're both in our 50s, and he just got his CDL-pretty impressive, right? I'm happy for him and helped him study too, but it's tough being alone sometimes. It feels like a failure not to be moving forward and feeling "normal" in the world. You can reach out anytime if you need someone to talk to!
