Trying sertraline for two weeks - anyone else?

Hey there, so yeah, I've been on this Sertraline thing again for about two to there weeks now, and honestly, I'm feeling really rough. It's like my brain just isn't settling down at all-kinda driving me crazy with how much it won't stop spinning in my head. Anyway, you know, if anyone has any advice or thoughts on this, it'd be great. Seriously hoping things get better soon. Thanks for listening though!

people r posting a lot about anxiety and depression lately, but some older threads might still be helpful. just remember everyone reacts differently cuz of the chemicals in their brain so it's good 2 talk 2 a doc who knows lots

I have been taking sertraline for nearly a year after being on venlafaxine for over ten years. I am currently weaning myself off sertraline as it did not alleviate my anxiety or improve my mood. Instead, I am now taking mirtazapine at night to help with sleep, but this medication leaves me feeling detached during the day and makes conversations difficult. I hope these side effects will subside.

I understand how challenging this is. My doctor mentioned that about half of his patients have difficulty finding a medication that works well for them.It can be a process of trial and error.

I apologize if my experience with sertraline does not provide much encouragement, but it simply did not help me. Wishing you the best in your journey.
