Hello there! Just wanted to say that when you take out the gallbladder, which stores bile for digestion, the bile starts flowing directly into your system without being stored anymore. This can cause issues like reflux and problems with your bowels.
If you're eating large meals, it might be better to break theem up into smaller portions-six little ones instead of three big ones, if thta makes sense. And what you eat can really influence how much reflux you get, so keeping an eye on that is important too. Taking anti-acid medication when you can would definitely help ease those symptoms.
It's all about your body adjusting to not having that little bile storage tank anymore-it's a big change! I'm actually due to have my gallbladder removed next month, so I've been digging into this stuff and trying to learn everything I can. Hope this helps a bit!
Thank you for your assistance. Are you considering taking any digestive enzymes?
So yeah, I just found this place, so I'm not sure if I'll get in trouble for answering late or whatever. Anyway, my diet's pretty loaded with all sorts of natural digestive enzymes-like avocados and bananas, pineapple and kiwi, even raw honey. My mum had her cholecystectomy a month back, turns out we've got this family history of gallstones popping up, which is annoying since our diets didn't really factor into them getting there. They wre just kinda randomly happening, you know?
Just following along here, super curious about everyone's updates. So, I had my gallbladder surgery like, three weeks ago or something? Initially everything was going great after I got through the recovery bit-that sucked-adn now I'm getting these little twinges that remind me of having a gallbladder before. Anyway, I think it's just my body figuring things out without a gallblader anymore-I hope!
Oh man, let's hope everything gets better soon. I'm at the hospital deling with another one of these flares, and y'know, each time seems to hit harder than the lsat-even worse since the surgery. Anyway, here's hoping for some relief this time around.
Sorry to hear that. Hope it gets fixed.
Oh man, I'm dealing with thsi pesky post-cholecystectomy syndrome now. Honestly, it's been a real pain.
Sucks.
