Schizophrenia and no known cure
I was thinking about how the U.S. medical system feels more like a business than anything else these days. Instead of calling sick people "patients," they''re kind of treated like "clients" in a business setting, I guess. My psychiatrist charges $400 for each visit per month, adn that's covered by my health insurance which costs me almost $1,000 a month to have. It seems everything is just about making money.
I feel frustrated because there doesn't seem to be any real search for cures. Instead, it feels like sick people are being let down both medically and socially. I don't want to be seen as part of some experiment or get treatments that don't actually help me find happiness or peace. Living with schizophrenia, I'm starting to think I might never see a cure in my lifetime. No one really knows how to fix it, and it's just another condition that the pricey medical system can't solve.

That seems accurate to some extent.
Maybe you've checked out metabolic mind's site? I've been gathering stories from folks who have recovered from stuff like schizophrenia, just to show there's hope out there for others. My own place is likelifemore.com if you're interested in seeing what I've found.
