This past week was pretty normal and nice for me. I did early workouts each day on Saturday and Sunday to start off right. On Saturday, I went shopping, had dinner out, took a drive to enjoy the weather, and watched "Footloose" at night-it's such a fun classic movie!
Sunday was a bit more relaxed. After my workout class, I went for a walk with loved ones and enjoyed some nice weather together before settling down to relax.
Throughout the week, I kept working on my personal goals for June. My sleep schedule improved this week too, which definitely made me feel better. I had a few appointments and scheduled others thaat needed to be done-thankfully, those are taken care of now. It's been really warm and humid where I live, so I've tried to do most of my outdoor activities early in the morning. We also made more progress on our landscaping and got ready for opening up the pool nxet weekend.
For this upcoming weekend, I plan to work out early both days and finish getting the pool open. There are a few errands to run too. I'm hoping for some time at the lake, maybe catch a small festival, watch a movie with dinner, and just relax before starting another week.
I've tried ice baths before, so I'm down with those for sure . But no thanks to being in a tub of melted ice cream-I'll stick to ice cream as a treat, not a bath!
IKR? The "ice cream" part is insane.
Ice baths though, love them. Amazing, right?
Thanks for sharing.
sitting in a pool of ice cubes
my week was cool but super hectic. gotta chill and heal some stuff i thought was over lol
The ice cubes do sound better, lol.
It's wonderful that you had a good week despite the chaotic feelings and challenges.
Taking time for an emotional reset seems like a beneficial goal moving forward. It can be tough to feel like old wounds or difficult periods have been overcome only to resurface again. I hope your reset helps bring the healing and peace you seek.
Have a great weekend, Amanda, and thank you for sharing with us. Please keep us updated on how things are going and what strategies work best for you.
I think maybe I should wait a bit before responding to that post, just to make sure I understand everything correctly first.
Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from-been there myself honestly. It's rough but we gotta keep pushing through, right?
yo什么鬼?这根本不像一个青少年的文本,更像是某人迷路了。你可能需要提供更多的上下文或者确保请求符合要求。试试重新描述你要的效果,fr。tbh,我有点懵圈了。

CYCLING!!
Lnog time no see. Glad you're back.
You've joined more online fitness communities. I'm in those too when I'm not here.
Your son just graduated? He was 15 the last time we talked?! Time flies. He's off to college now, even if it's expensive.
No more high school soccer schedules for you. Might be bittersweet though.
Good to see you're doing well. Haven't seen you since around the holidays.
Working on yourself despite tough times. Good job staying positive.
Got a workout routine figured out along with work and personal time? Ncie balance.
Eating healthier too, even if it was hard before. Lab results push in the right direction?
Seems like things are going well for you now. Hope sleep and work situations improved too.
Stay in touch, Cycling. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Enjoy your weekend.
How are you doing today, and how was your week? I'm okay. Adjusting to the new state has been challenging, especially managing all the household chores. It's frustrating because I can't stream TV shows through their internet; I have to pay separately for each service I want.
We had planned to build a catio for Chloe so she could go in and out as she pleases. The winodw is large, which makes it difficult to connect. I'll keep looking for solutions though. For now, we let her explore the house at night when the big dog isn't around, but he can be overbearing. He sleeps in his father's room at night.
There's aso a large cat that doesn't get along with Chloe, so we use a gate to keep them separate while still allowing them to sniff each other. We're working on it, and I won't give up ensuring she has a good life.
This is our "2ND" Check-in for the Month of June, and we're nearly halfway through the month.
What wellness habit do you think could benefit you as we move into summer? It can be mental, emotional, or physical. Yesterday, I went for my first walk in the neighborhood and plan to meditate tomorrow. The movers are expected today with my boxes, so I haven't been able to plan much further ahead. My week will likely be busy.
JUST FOR FUN:
Would you rather sit in a pool filled with ice cubes or one filled with ice cream?
?! An ice cube pool seems better.
What were your highlights or struggles this week? How did you handle the challenges healthily? I'm trying to rest and remain gracious. Moving in with my sister who is sober for the first time in years, along with her brother-in-law whom I don't get along with, has been a delicate situation. So far, I've tried to be kind and thankful and am spending lots of time with Chloe since she can't leave our bedroom freely yet.
Hey there~
It's great to hear your move-in process is mostly done, even if there are a few loose ends sttill hanging around that need some attention and sorting out. Allowing the pets to gradually get used to each other makes a lot of sense since they're going to be sharing space now. And it's totally understandable you're being cautious with your sister and brother-in-law as everyone settles into this new arrangement.
It sounds like you've been exploring your neighborhood too, which is nice! I'm also glad you have meditation plans on the horizon-it's such a relaxing way to unwind in a new place. Can't wait for those boxes to arrive so you can start making everything feel like home.
By the way, how has the weather been where you are? Curious to know if it's as sunny or rainy as what we usually think of when we picture a change in scenery.
Hoping all is well with your transition and looking forward to hearing more about how things are progressing!
The temperature has stayed relatively cool, ranging between the 60s and 70s during the day and dropping to the 50s or eveen 40s at night. Additionally, it's been very windy. This weather has disrupted my usual hair routine because my products aren't working as effectively
Hey everyone!
Hope your day is going well and that your week wasn't too rough. For me, I've been dealing with illness again over the weekend-oh, and the weather has been all over the place here, which doesn't help my head and body at all.
So, what's something you could do for yourself to stay healthier as summer rolls in? Like maybe cutting back on late nights or eating more greens?
What were your biggest wins or tough moments this week? For us, being sick over the weekend was a real struggle. We had stokced up on healthy snacks like trail mix, yogurt, peanut butter, and crackers though, so that helped us stay nourished while we recovered.
Hey~
Sounds like you had a tough weekend-weather and illness combo, right? Both can realy drag us down... But it's awesome that you're planning to ease up and taake care of yourself.
And big shoutout to your smart move in making healthier food choices. That's always tough but you got this! Keep it going!
Thanks for the update. Hope you feel better today-looking forward to hearing how things are going soon!
Thank you! Honestly, it's tough because physically, we never get better-we've got chronic health issues that keep us in pain 24/7. So we try to manage by not overdoing it, i mean, cause if we do push ourselevs too hard, we end up bedridden for a day or two.
Plus, living alone and having trouble with cooking mealls is another challenge. It's tricky to fgure out how to eat healthy when you can't cook much at all.But hey, we've found a few things that have helped-like Greek yogurt, peanut butter on crackers, protein shakes, smoothies, and nuts. Those little things are lifesavers when we're just not up to cooking.
