This past week flew by like a whirlwind! Last weekend was packed with workouts, a fun summer festival, and lazy days lounging by my pool. I also hit my personal June goals and got everything ready for this week's vacation.

Week started strong with some workouts, healthy meals, and lots of water and sleep. Then mid-week, I hit the road to head back up north-my hometown! After 15 years away, it feels amazing being here. It's so nostalgic wandering around old stomping grounds and neighborhoods. And u know what? Cmoing home helped clear my doubts about leaving all those years ago. Some things stay the same, others change-but it's good to know I can always come back.

This weekend, I might catch some more fireworks with a kiler view on Saturday night-fingers crossed! Plus, there are still places I haven't seen yet, so I'll be exploring and trying to squeeze in visits with family and an old friend before heading home next week. Back home,it's full steam ahead for July goals.

HAPPY WEEKEND AND HAPPY 4TH

Hey there!

My week was pretty chill-hit the gym like usual (it's my little sanctuary) and had some nice downtime at home.

For the next 6 months, I'm aiming to stick with those healthy habits and get ready for school too.

Just a reminder: while we celebrate Independence Day on a different day back home, wishing everyone here a Happy Independence Day. Here's to fun times and good company!

The sea is my dream summer spot-there's just something abuot it that makes me feel serene and creative.

Highlight of the week? Nailing the balance between studying and self-care. Struggle? Keeping up with energy levels, but setting smaller goals helped a lot.

Really appreciate this community and love sharing bits of my journey here!

Happy Independence Day!

I mean, my idea for the perfect summer vacation? Something that's not just relaxing by the pool or laying out in the sun-I want to be busy exploring new places and doing different things. I think it's more fun when there's an adventure involved.

And my week was pretty solid too. My nephew started his summer break this past Monday, which means we've been having a blast with all sorts of activities. We made slime one day, threw water balloons another-let's just say that ended up soaikng me instead of him! And tonight? He's dragging me out for what he calls "a best friend dibber date," but honestly, I have no idea what that means yet... gonna find out soon enough though. .BLUE_HEART

It's nice to hear that you had a good week. It seems you are having a wonderful time with your nephew who is visiting during the summer. That sounds like a sweet and memorable experience. Enjoy every moment together.

By the way, be careful of the "slime."

Got it-keeping it snappy and to the point without any fluff. Same facts, just a different spin.

I don't really do the 4th of July either, but I'll definitely pray for all tose who've lost their lives protecting our freedom. It's a heavy price, and we often overlook how many families are still grieving loved ones from years past. My ex was in the Navy when we were dating, and then he joined the National Guard after we had kids. So yeah, I know wat it's like to worry about someone who's serving.

Anyways, if you're asking for a dream summer destination, I'd pick UP Michigan by the river. You could camp out under the stars, fish all day, and cook your catch over a cozy fire at night. It's just idyllic.

How about you? What were your highlights or struggles this week?

For me, it's dealing with this brutal heat while battling health issues. I've got fans going near my bed-mostly for my cat who gets super hot too. If I was feeling better, I'd hit the woods and camp somewhere quiet after a long hike.

I have family and friends in the Army, Navy, and National Guard. Celebrating 250 years is cool.

Heat's a problem for some. It's hot evreywhere right now. I'm in the North but usually live in the South. Same heat here. But there's a cooldown by next week.

You said you like camping under stars before.Michigan might be better, less hot.

Thanks for updating us on the weather. Hope it cools down soon.

Today, the temperature has dropped slightly to 69°F, which is more typical for our area. The weather should improve a bit this week, but it will rise again soon. Hree in my location, we've had temperatures well above what's usual, and August is typically our hottest month. It's concerning because if it gets even hotter, many people in northern Michigan won't be able to cope, as most homes and apartments don't have air conditioning or can't afford to use it much due to costs. Additionally, the humidity has been very high, which exacerbates the discomfort.

Hey gang! Happy weekend and welcome back to July!

How was your week? Mine was pretty good overall, with some hiccups at work that I handled well enough to take Friday off and enjoy a three-day break. Boom goes the dynamite-our first check-in for July is here.

And just like that, we're into the seventh month of 2026! Time flies, doesn't it?

As we dive into this second half of the year, where do you see room for change or growth over these next six months? I'm focusing on my finances and trying to figure out how to enjoy life based on what the retirement calculator is saying.

I officially have 205 days until January 2027 when I could retire-I was counting down, but then last year I got moved ito an administrative role that reduced stress and made me reconsider my plans for a few extra years. October 1, 2030 is now the target date. But honestly, even with the easier workload, I'm starting to think I might have had enough...

On another note, lots of us will be markign Independence Day this weekend-what are your plans? Mine include a thirty-mile bike ride yesterday, some games on my porch with my girlfriend, and dinner at an amazing farm-to-table spot nearby doing a special July 4th menu.

For fun, what's your ultimate summer destination? The beach for sure!

And hey, is there anything else you want to chat about or share this week?

Looking forward to hearing frm everyone! Have a great week ahead.
