Solo Struggles And Hammer Toes
So, here's my thing-I'm kind of falling apart lately. My husband is as cold as the North Pole, which used to be okay but now it really gets to me. And let's not forget that he's turned nasty too, just when I thought things couldn't get worse. Six cts keep me company, but sometimes they can't fill that void.
I'm feeling super lonely; no friends or fammily around. My health is decent, nothing major-except for these hammer toes on my feet. They're driving me mad and making it hard to walk by myself. I'm looking into surgery for each foot separately, but the thought of being out of commission for 5-6 weeks? Forget about it.
Anyone have any tips or advice about hammer toes? And maybe if you're feeling up for it, we could chat a little? Just some company would mean so much right now.

Oh man, I'm so sorry you're dealing with all that. Your toe issues must be such a pain on top of everything else. *sigh* If it weren't for those toes hurting like crazy, I'd totally suggest grabbing some roller skates and skating away from your husband! You definitely deserve someone who treats you way better though.
Oh, totally feel ya. My hubby is cool but he's like, super chill to a fault sometimes-he doesn't always pick up on what I'm saying or listen at all, honestly. And that kinda stuff matters big time in marriage or any relationship really. It gets me down too, but hey, you know better than anyone it's not great for your mental health. That foot thing must be rough-hate to see ya stuck like that. Just hope some prayers help you out and get that fixed soon so you can start fresh with new friends and activities. You deserve happiness! Gonna send some hugs too, because I know they're needed.
Hi there, thanks so much for your kind words and prayers. I just wanted to send some hugs back your way
Hi there,
I'm really sorry to hear about everything you're going through. I get how tough things can feel as we get older, but hey, you've got those six amazing cats keeping you company! Your husband's not treating you well, and that's dragging you down big time. So listen, it might sound simple, but the first step is getting your toes fixed-it's a small thing, but having them sorted will boost your confidence in ways you won't even believe. It won't be easy, but think about how much better you'll feel once it's done.
So, just take that leap and don't let anyone discourage you. Good luck!
Thank you for your message and encouragement; I really appreciate it.
sorry to hear ur husband is being grumpy. my friend got her hammer toe surgery and imho she looks way better now. its not fun tho, but totally worth it. u shld def get it done if it helps u feel better xx
Hey there-thanks a bunch for reaching out. I mean, hearing about other people's experiences with hammer toe surgery really helps put my mind at ease. Knowing they're doing better afterwards maeks me feel braver too, honestly.
I was wondering where everyone's from? I have a hammer toe and bunion, which can get realy painful sometimes. I had my toes x-rayed by two different doctors, but my general practitioner said surgery should be the last option. Plus, I have two dogs that need walking twice every day. Surgery isn't in the plans for now. As time goes on, it seems harder to keep up with friends. Maybe we could exchange emails if you're okay with that? I'm 69.
Hear from you glad. Hammer toes nubm, hard walk. Doc appt Oct 19. Hope better help. Live PA, six cats, like dogs more but cats work easy. Email swap cool. Older than u.
