Weeekly goals for june 1-7, 2026
Hey everyone, if u want to share a goal today, this is the place for it!
And here's the important part: let's talk about how we're going to make our goals happen-or why they haven't quite panned out yet. Let's cheer each other on when things go well and offer support during tough times.
Remember every goal counts as worthy. Don't downplay your achievements, no matter how small-like getting out of bed in the morning! Give yourself a pat on the back for all those little wins too.
So let's share our goals here to get some encouragement and support from each other!
Do your best and take it easy. Sometimes stuff is harder than we expect, but that's okay. You can handle it, and it's totally normal. Just do what you can and be kind to yourself-and others too!

talk about a hard thing 2 put on a todo list lmao throw caution 2 the wind tho & try 2 get it done this wk
Things to do today, I think...
Maybe spray for lantern flies? I've been seeing the nymphs along the fence line lately, and they can really harm the trees, you know? This might also help with ticks.
Also, maybe spray for mile-a-minute weed-it spreads so quickly and grows super fast. It basically suffocates everything it covers.
If I get anything else done today, that would be great too. A few extra pluses wouldn't hurt
Pretty but invasive.
Thanks.
Good job. Hope you got pluses too.Feels good.
Those bugs are super cute, right? But seriously, our state really pushse getting rid of them because they're such a hassle. Tree of heaven seems to be their favorite hangout spot, though they're not picky and will go anywhere with tasty bark. I've had it rough too; a few trees on my property bit the dust from these critters over the last couple years - really got me down for me.
I'm not really sure what my goals for the week should be, maybe you guys have some ideas?
Just roll with whatever comes your way and tackle it one step at a time, okay?
Taking it one step at a time-yep, a well-deserved breather is in order.
LOL! I saw Twist's message and thought it was just some tired fast-food slogan-Big Macs are tasty but totally not health food . So now you're getting a break call from me too, even before I read what they said. You gotta take a breather, seriously!
No clue what to do next. Got a call from Animal Control because my dog had some kind of freak-out yestedray. Turns out the lady across from me isn't thrilled-she even went straight to corporate, which was totally unnecessary since the prperty manager knows our dog is super chill and never acts up.
But hey, they still filed an incident report. On the bright side, I managed to get some photos for a removal service that has room for me on Thursdya. Fingers crossed that goes smoothly.
If it weren't for that pesky leak in the first place, none of this would have happened. Dealing with all these headaches is really wearing me down.
I know, I feel ya... Easy does it.
One of my dogs is the same - he just goes off barking his head off for no real reason at all. It's like hes' protecting the backyard or something, but honestly, if you tried to get close, he wouldn't even let you within a foot of him. He definitely isn't thinking about biting anyone.
People and their drama, am I right? Anyway, just go easy on yourself.
I mean, it was like everything just kind of piled up on her and then the dog going off at mindight-yeah, that really pushed her over the edge, honestly. It's not like this happens all the time, though. Hoping I can talk them down later when they come by.
She actually slept better last nihgt compared to before-but hey, she saw something outside around one AM and got all riled up about it. Gotta get a screen for that patio area ASAP. Would be nice if I could sleep in my own bed again, but who knows when that'll happen...
Spelling errors and no spaces between words.
Monthly assignments dropped, need to work now. Sent follow-up email about pictures, got response asking for $900. Can't afford it.
my parents are gonna help me out with the mvoers. i feel bad cus i couldn't do it msyelf. had to pay rent last nite. my dad said i should go w/ the ppl who did a walkthrough of the old apt. he thought they were legit but it's gonna cost $600. this whole thinng is close to $1k already and that doesn't include stuff like a new bed.
not sure if someone went into teh new apt without me knowing cus the dog crate tray was out, blankets i was using on the floor were in her crate (shes probabayl couldn't pull them there herself so how did they end up there?) & some lights were off. stove clock was flashing like there was a power outage but why would only some lights be off and not all of them?
so now i might need a security system on top of everything else
Oh wow, I totally feel you it's been one of those days where everything feels off.
I'm totally gonna focus on being productive this week, even if everything doesn't go according to plan-I'll stay positive! I made myself a little checklist to follow, and if I miss something, oh well, at least I tried my best. Being kind to myself is key here- you know?
Hey there, I totally agree with that. Honestly, if you can't knock everything off the list, no biggie. Just be stoked about what you've managed to get done so far. Sending some good vibes your way for whatever's coming next-wishing you all the best, and keep those positive vibes going!
Yesterday was quite challenging. When one tihng goes wrong, more seem to follow. I had to tke the cat to the vet. The large animal veterinarian also came out for our horse. He was 25 years old at least and there wasn't much they could do-he was simply too old.
The neighbor is still in the ICU on a breathing tube, and now he has a fever. His wife's newer car broke down as well; it needs to go to the shop because of some sensor issues I know little about. It's strange how bad things often seem to come in threes.
Same here. Sorry about your horse. Long time for it?
Cats and dogs, yeah. Not srue with horses
Thank you.
You must have a lot on your plate right now. I hope everything worked out with animal control. It's surprising that someone contacted them about what I thought were two dogs barking at each other.
Horses typically live between 25 and 30 years, sometimes even longer. It was quite unexpected when it happened so suddenly. He seemed perfectly fine the day before.
I haven't heard anything yet, but yeah, my dog isn't afraid to stand up for herself. She actually tells off other dogs if they get too friendly with her. There's this pit bull who sometimes tries to be way too close and she has to tell him to back off. It's not like it would really escalate into something serious-I did make sure everything was done after she got all her shots-but she can definitely be protective of her space.
It's tough when things happen so suddenly like that. That's how my old dog went-lost a lot of weight really fast and I couldn't take him to the vet because I didn't have the money (I don't know if there would have been anything they could do anyway). But, he passed away peacefully under my bed while I was sleeping. Of course, that wouldn't be possible for a horse unless you slept in a loft or something like that...
She's got some serious boundaries, and good for her! No nonsense allowed in her life. Some dogs are just button-pushers, aren't they? Hopefully no more drama with that situation.
I'm sorry about your old dog too. You clearly take such great care of your pups, so it must be tough.I totally get the vet thing-those bills can really add up adn feel unfair sometimes. The clinic suggested by your vet sounds good in theory, but when they say older horses don't do wel with surgery and you'd still owe thousands even if things didn't go well... that's a lot to handle. No way I could afford something like that myself.
oh man u got hit hard so sorry to hear abt ur horse. he was at least 25 but when u care that much it rly hutrs. hope his age helps a lil. did u have him all those yrs? what was his name and wht was he like? i'd love to hear sth bout riding horses. i'm actually wary of them. not scared, just careful around animals i don't know. they can sense that + r smart n big so i dont know how to handle them like i do dogs.
again sorry for the loss.ur neighbors are going through rough times too. hope things r gonna get beetter soon. probs routine issues with health n cars but still stressful now
if she has money, taking it to a garage might b best these days but i don't trust mechanics so hoping she knows someone good.
u haven't posted in a bit. i hope ur stress levels are down a lil by now.wishing u all the best
I totally get why you'd be careful around them. Horses are massive, right? There's definitely room to get hurt.
So this horse named Danny, man, he was with me for five whole years. Imagine beig at a feed mill one day and bumpnig into an older couple who were thinking of selling him off because they couldn't afford the upkeep anymore. He was lkie 20 or so back then, which is kinda old for a horse - usually not much left in them except maybe as glue or dog food, i mean honestly. But I stepped up and said I'd take him on.
He was just an all-around good guy to ride out with. Even at his age, he still had soem pep in his step, which is pretty cool if you ask me.We could go for hours, and he'd be happy to do whatever. Gentle as a kitten, always sweet - and he loved checking my pockets hoping I had peppermints hidden away.
When he first came here, there were mometns where it fet like old stuff was coming back up. But Danny ended up helping me in ways that really surprised me. Horses mean a lot to me but also hold some painful mmeories from growing up. So having him around kinda taught me there's more beauty in horses than just the tough parts.
The thing is, I still catch myself expecting to see or hear him - he'd always nicker whenever we met at the gate for head rubs. Someone mentioned consistency recently - and Danny was all about that. Kept me grounded when life got hectic.
Oh hey, the neighbor guy seems to be doing much better lately. They took his breathing tube out yesterday and he's actually rsponding weell to both doctors and his wife. The wife said she thinks they might be able to bring him home as early as Monday or Tuesday - fingers crossed for that!
Also, I had a quick chat with someone about her car issue teh other day. She tried taking it somewhere because of some weird glitch but couldn't find anything wrong after two days. At this point, it's possible tere was just a little hiccup in communication between the sensors and the system. I mean, I don't exactly trust garages myself sometimes - they can be pricey and take advantage of folks more than needed. I go to one only for inspections but let me tell you, every time it costs way more than it should
Danny sounds like an incredibly special person who will stay with you. Thank you for sharing.
It's good news about your neighbor's health; here's hoping he continues to improve. For the car issues, intermittent problems can be frustrating-you're glad nothing serious has been found so far, but there's always that worry.
I've had a tough couple of weeks dealing with large insurance and tax expenses early in the year, which put me in a difficult financial situation. Now I'm rolling coins and selling some items to help cover bills.
A few blessings have come my way recently-small jobs nearby have accumulated into stabilizing this month's expenses and building up for next month.
Today, I can sit back and breathe a little easier-it feels good.
That sounds really cool! I'm glad you have a day to relax. It's such a great feeling to be able to do that. And it's awesome that you're ahead on next month's bills too. Those little jobs and stuff can add up, right? Honestly, sometimes I prefer the smaller jobs because they keep things interesting. Man, those financial hiccups are scary though. He was really special. Thanks a lot-I appreciate not feeling like I'm being silly for mourning a horse. I always feel like people expect me to just shrug it off and say it's just an animal. Hope your Sunday is amazing too!
Hey everyone, just checking in because I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off yesterday.
Got my cable modem thingie yesterday morning but it turned out the clerk gave me the worng location-must've been having one of tose days when every little thing goes sideways. Ended up backtracking halfway to the bus stop, grabbed the right one, and headed home where I was met by a bark fest from my German Shepherd. We came around a corner and there she was, barking her heart out at another dog-turns out it was just some friendly Lab, but she must have seen something spooky in its eyes.
After that, I spent what felt like an eternity trying to get the dang Internet working properly. Transferred calls three times for nothing because apparently everything looked good on their end even though pages wouldn't load and my audio files were MIA. Figured it was just lagging after so long but then found out my phone had similar issues with downloading stuff, especially my language app that I've been diligently using for over a year now-had to start the streak from scratch because of this whole mess.
Got back on track by unplugging and plugging in my modem again this morning. Now everything's running smooth as silk. Today? Not much happening really-just laundry, some dog walks, and maybe Ill try tidying up a little bit around here.
Good thing you saw the cable before getting home.
Internet's a pain when it acts up.
Never knew how much I rely on it till it mseses up.
She might still be freaked out by the other dog.
Turning off and back on fixed it, sweet!
Hope you're settling into the new place.
She's calmer lately, honestly. Got the curtains for the patio door-now I need the rod to hang them up. Thinking about getting folding carts at the grocery store too. I have this wagon but I want something a bit smaller. Carrying groceries across the street after work is really tough these days because I'm more toward the back than before. The weight in the bags feels heeavier, and it's putting strain on my leg. Could be from sleeping on the floor or all the moving around-I don't know. Can't afford to make things worse though, you feel me?
