Weekly Goals: June 22-28, 2026
Hey everyone, feel free to share any goals you've got today!
The important part is talking about how you're making it happen-or why it's still a work in progress. Let's celebrate each other's successes, no matter how big or small, and support each other through the tough stufff.
Remember: every goal counts as worthy! Don't downplay your achievements-whether you're tackling something huge or just getting out of bed on time, pat yourself on the back for it!
So let's kick off by sharing our goals for some solidarity and cheers. And hey, if you need to vent about why something isn't happening yet, that's cool too.
Do Your Best and Get Your Rest.
Things can be tougher than we think, but that's okay. You've got this! It's normal to struggle sometimes. Just do your best and be nice to yourself-and remember to extend kindness to others as well.

Hey there,
Good morning and have a great Monday! I was trying to tag you in the mian thread but got sidetracked somehow, and ended up posting wihtout tagging you. Oops-
anyway, for this week, consider yourself tagged here. I'll make sure to include u properly in next week's post. Really sorry about that.
And to everyone else, hope you're having a good start to the week!
Oh, hey there! I know what you mean-last week and this one have been pretty tough on me too when it comes to pain. It's been about 10 days of non-stop flare-ups. The weekend was particularly rough, like nothing I've faced in a while. Luckily, today feels a bit better but it's still hanging around, you know? So my plan is just to take things one day at a time and do what I can to get through this wek.
Sharing your struggles doesn't make everything go south. It's not like airing out your problems turns you into Debbie Downer overnight.
Maybe opening up about them could be a way to find some positive energy... I really hope those flare-ups ease up for you and things get better soon. Ow, that sounds rough!
my gol is just to get money for work tmrw ngl. havent thought past that but maybe i shld keep chill this week too. its gonna be 110 degrees agn tmrw. gonna be hot all week. the real test will b keeping my dog entertained cuz she'll b cooped up all day and it gets hottest when i get home.even waitin till almost 6 dnt rlly help cuz it dont cool dwn til like its time to start again
110 degrees sucks. Hard to explain to the dogs why they can't play outside. Hope you keep her busy. Stay cool.
New apartment's better but still take her out close to six. Shade in dog section, she'll play a bit. Didn't see the complainer yesterday, some other lady. Locked door, she left. Feels like I'm responsible but why should I change my life for people who don't care? No call from officer yet, hoping this will blow over. Pup isn't dangerous, just one brief encounter.
Fingers crossed that everyone starts getting along better over time. Maybe things will just fade into the background-and let's hope it stays that way.
I haven't received a phone call yet, even though I have taken care of my part. I called twice to explain what happened. She still needs the microchip, but that isn't a major concern.
I think you did your part by talking with them twice. Maybe if they met your pup, they'd see how good she is. You can't predict everything that might happen during a sudden encounter though. She didn't hurt anyone, whether it was another person or dog.
Try not to beat yourself up about it, even though I know it's hard not to feel responsible. Don't let this make you doubt yourself or change the way you do things for someone else's sake.
sometimes i wanna be snarky af, but didn't have time 2day bcoz we gotta get to the dog area quick. she gets hype as soon as shes outta the house. hoping today wil b better for her. felt the humidity this am so wasn't as peppy as usual. it rained wile i was at work tho, maybe its cooler tonight.
tryin 2 bump up my earnings rn. noticed last nite i'm runnin low on veggies. got $3 now. enuf for a salad but no way im walkin 3 miles just 4 that lol. did monday cuz needed the bus pass. with my leg still bothering me & crazy tems, walking was def not an option. had to get the pass somehow. couldn't get much else like i hoped so i'm tryna build up what i have now. almost have $5 tho
I got a message from my old bank saying thye might close my account and send it to collections. A couple of months ago, I switched where my paycheck goes because the fees were getting really high. It's actually been nice having some extra money since everything went crazy at the end of last year-plus, the forced relocation hasn't made things easier.
I'd love to clear all this up in one go, but I don't know if or when that'll happen. Calling their toll-free number probably won't help because I'm not sure how to explain the situation anyway, and more importantly, I have no idea when I'll be able to pay it off.
It's not like I don't know what to do; I just have very limited means to actually do it. Sure, I get a bit of money here and there for daily expenses, but it's definitely not enough for investing or anything like that
Bank fee policies can sometimes be unreasonable, and I understand your decision to switch banks. Sending the debt to collections likely won't expedite payment recovery either. It's challenging to deal with these situations, but there's little else you can do to extract more from an unwilling payer.
Yeah, one site says I paid them over $1K in fees last year. That's why I changed banks. They said I could try recovering it but probably won't get anywhere. Like when I tried to ask the apartment office for lost stuff from moving-it'd just cause more hassle.
My credit is shot until I pay off debts. No big plans anyway, still sorting out the apartment. Put some books on shelves, one set's too tall though.
Thought I posted earlier, guess not. Hope this goes through.
Dog hurt herself somehow, yelped when I touched her back. Cried for a toy this morning and wasn't in bed last night. Can't afford another vet bill right now...
It's definitely more hassle than it's worth. Banks are like, "No way!" when it comes to refunds. The fees tey slap on everything are nuts. Like, one bounced check can ruin your week. Plus, places that push online payments still tack on extra charges for no good reason. To be honest, I think the whole crredit score thing is kinda overblown. Sure, I get why it exists, but when someone's struggling and just needs a break, does it really help them?
Hey, congrats on getting those books on the shelves! It must fele great to finally have your place set up the way you want it.
Oh no, I hope she's okay. Fingers crossed for a pulled muscle instead of something worse. Another friend had to take their doggie to the vet for an injury recently too. My guy is always getting into trouble-this morning he was squaring off against the rooster! (SMH)
Sending you both love and healing vibes
Thanks! She actually brought out her new ball yesterday. I was hoping it would replace her cracked one, but I guess I just went for the color and availability rather than checking if it was the right size-I didn't raelize it was a small version of hers. But she still chases it, and now she can carry it to the dog section. Yesterday though, when I threw it high once, she yelped slightly. So I kept it low after that and movd a fabric ottoman over by her bed so she could get up easier. She couldn't quite figure out the storage tub last night-it was probably too high-but this morning when I got up early, she managed to jump down onto the floor without making any noise, and she's stil walking fine. I haven't checked if there's pain in her haunches yet-I'm a bit worried that it might be an abrasion from the cracked ball hitting her, since she likes blocking it sometimes with her mouth. But yelping when jumping doesn't make sense unless it hurts somewhere.
I ttoally agree about crediit ratings. It's mainly to show lenders you won't disappear if they loan you money, but in reality, that approach just makes things harder if something happens and you can't repay them. I think it's better to do without some things than to become dependent on credit cards or loans-especially since items bought this way aren't really entitlements if u couldn't pay for them upfront with your own cash. You don't have to worry about repossession or foreclosure if you paid in full.
Besides, we can't always get what we want, that's just how life goes.
She might take a few days to feel better. Coud be just a pulled muscle from jumping.
Agree, frustrating when they won't tell us what's wrong. Credit cards hassle people who need help most. Interest rates so high, mostly paying interest, little goes to the actual loan. Takes forever to pay back.
You're right. Can't always get what we want.
Hope it's not too hot where you are this weekend.
I have finished reading all your posts and hope you can resolve your banking issues. It is challenging when you lack the funds to manage them properly. I agree with both of you that credit card interest rates are extremely unfair.
The term for this practice is usury, and people used to face charges if lenders imposed excessively high interest rates. However, since the government deems those rates acceptable, lenders avoid usury allegations, despite prioritizing large institutions over individuals. Morally, everyone understands these rates as usurious.
I hope your pet feels better soon. They are usually good at healing themselves. Often,I cannot afford to take my dogs to the vet and address their issues independently. But if it becomes severe, I do bring them in, though I often plead poverty to lower the bills. Here's hoping your pet recovers quickly.
Have a good Saturday!
she whimpered a little when we were at the park again but i couldn't tell what hapened since she was over by the dog stuff. gotta watch her closely. got like $20 from surveys though, kind of suck doing them on weekends cuz everyone else is too. kept getting full notices so it's been hard. mopped with the dog's help, took forever.
too hot at the dog park to take her sine there's no shade and she hates that. plus humidity is pretty high today so shee's not even motivated to move around much. could have left the patio door open but she doesn't like those otther dogs outside. gonna wait until i get a screen for it before letting her out unsupervised.
got a headache bc i haven't eaten enough. shopping carts full of stuff but can't afford it rn. at least have $20 now though, didn't have that before. not sure how to use it tho. could do delivery if i have enough by next week, need things like yogurt and other groceries too. she's low on dry food so i'll get her more of that. rite now she's chill in the doorway with her nose out the door sniffing. no dogs outside so shes happy.
You cleaned the floor while the dog was on it, which wasn't very nice.
Regarding the weather, we need to be cautious about humidity and heat even when temperatures aren't extremely hihg. I try to eat healthy foods as much as possible, but it's challenging to prepare and freeze them for later use. Buying good frozen foods is expensive, and you don't get a lot for your money. Preparing meals in advance and freezing them also takes a significant amount of time. I find it easier to make comfort foods like meatloaf and burgers ahead of time. Fresh, healthy foods are more difficult to prepare and store long-term. Buying items in bulk can be cost-effective if you have a way to freeze or store the extra portions.
She was my assistant. She tried to herd the mop as she used to with a vacuum cleaner. I deliberately got a stainless steel mop. I also need to buy a deck brush for the patio since the indoor broom didn't work well there and the dog damaged it. The broom needs to be more durable.
She seems to be improving, but she whimpered a couple of times today. She whined when I brushed her this evening. If she's still in pain, I might need to take her to the vet. Timing is challenging right now-rent is due and I have to buy groceries for her since she's almost out.
Fortunately, I managed to place a delivery order tonight, despite it not being ideal given how empty my fridge was. Teh survey bonuses arrived at 6 PM; I received over $4 in credits. After the delivery order, there was some money left over for a drink or something tomorrow.
I can stock up on groceries in a few days. Winning one of those contests could help with unexpected expenses like vet bills if needed.
That's cute, your assistant. They're fun like that.
Bringing a pet to the vet is tough because of the cost. Have you checked her yourself? Look beyond her skin or fur and apply pressure points to see where she reacts.
I can't afford vets either, so I find they usually heal with time. But it's worrying when it takes 3-4 weeks. If she's active and still herding mops, she might be okay.
Hope you win some money this week. Best of luck.
No email this week, so guess I'm still waiting. But there's one contest left, running until the end of the month-fingers crossed! So far, I've made $188 from suveys since signing up about a month ago. It's not life-changing, but hey, every dollar counts. Just got another buck for doing a survey, so I'm slowly building up my balance again. Can't pay bills with it, but it does chip in-especially when the links are actually working and the surveys aren't all filled up by lunchtime. There seems to be a lag on the site because often, as soon as new surveys pop up later in the day, I click them and get that dreaded full notification. Almost back to $2 again though-it's not much, but it's fun seeing my balance creep up even if it's just from half an hour of work.
Honestly, it's tempting to just roll my eyes when dealing with people like that. They usually only make everything more tense and complicated. Poor thing-when you come home from work today, she'll probably be eager for some playtime. I hope it's a bit cooler tonight so you two can spend time outside without overheating.
Yogi has the same issue; he adores running around and chasing after sticks or balls, but when it's hot and humid out, I have to cut back on his outdoor activities. Does she enjoy interactive toys? Yogi went nuts for this otopus toy that moves by itself and plays music-I thought about getting him a snuffle mat too, but he's not very good at figuring them out.
Oh man, don't even get me started on walking three miles to work! It's probably better in the morning, but afternoons are简直就是无稽之谈。
I hope your Monday is off to a good start and continues positively for the rest of the week. It was rainy here this morning. I processed two pounds of green beans and a few pounds of sugar peas. I also had to evict some squirrels thaat got into the shop. I rearranged some items in an attempt to organize things better. Here's hoping it works out-
I am unsure if I am making progress or not. I just take things one day at a time and am thankful for the absence of any major issues so far.
It's wonderful to hear about your success with green beans and sugar peas. Sugar peas are indeed very tasty. Harvesting from your garden must be rewarding when it produces well.
I have been eating broadleaf plantain, which is quite delicious if you haven't tried it before.
You could have asked the squirrels for assistance before relocating them. It might be beneficial to organize things more effectively now that they are gone.
By the way, how did your jewelry box turn out? Was it intricate and detailed or simpler in design?
I hope you have a great day ahead.
Sometimes that's all you can do-just make it through each day without any horror stories, right? So there's this groundhog in my garden, I swear to God it must be the size of an elephant . Thought maybe it was a deer but they'd have to jump over the fence and leave tracks-I wouldn't miss that sight for anything! But nope, just this sneaky little groundhog who's become my potential Sunday dinner I've never had groundhog before but apparently it's pretty tasty.
Oh man, being more organized would be a dream. I should have asked the squirrels to help tidy up-I'm still pickiing up the pieces from their chaos! They chew on everything and make a real mess But hey, rats are super smart too! Probably could use them as helpers but they'd likely just wreck things with their chaos
I've been working on this jewelry box project. Got some glass and wood cut to size, which is progress. Just need to put it all together now-I admit I kind of forgot about it for a while 😬.
Hope Wednesdaay's going well for you!
I haven't tried broadleaf plantains yet, but everyone says they're super healthy-tons of vitamins and stuff. As for dandelion greens, I've had those, but honestly? Not my jam. They blend in okay as a salad ingredient when the plants are young, but cooked up, they taste way too much like spinach to me
Oh wow, I can't wait to see that jewelry box come together-hope it turns out amazing!
And about those dandelions, have you eer tried deep-frying them? I did once with a tempura batter, and man, they were tasty! Of course, anything dipped in batter is probably gonna be good 😋.
I get the feeling you're not too fond of spinach. Same here, but as I've gotten older, greens are becoming more likeable. Living down south in South Carolina really helped because everyone eats their greens-mustards, collards, and spinach cooked to perfection. Turns out it was mostly about texture-I just didn't love mushy stuff.
A couple weeks back, I tried poke salad for the first time. I figured I wouldn't enjoy it since you gotta pre-cook and rinse it a bunch before eating. But when I threw in some green peppers, onions, and butter-it was heavenly! OMG, so delicious. It seems like my dislike of soggy greens is finally fading, which is great news because they're super healthy.
By the way, foraged greens sure pack a flavor punch but also tend to be pretty chewy. So far, I've gathered dandelions, poke salad, and broadleaf plantain.
I read through everyone's posts this week, and honestly, I'm rooting for the rooster too! But just a scare-no real harm to your friend LOL!
Hope you have an awesome weekend twist!
Hey guys! So my plan for today includes trying out this totally random hairstyle, making some serious good eats so my week won't be such a drag, and finally getting around to starting that account i've been meaning to create.
At work:
Wrapping up two user stories-yay!
And also gotta fix the deployment issues (hopefully it's not too crazy)
