Weekly Goals for June 29 to July 5, 2026

AnonymousG
May 3

Hey everyone! I'm opening this thread for anyone who wants to throw out a goal today. Let's chat about how we're making progress or why something isn't moving forward yet. We can cheer each other on with our wins and support one another through the tough times too.

Remember, every little goal you set is totally legit-don't knock yuorself for aiming high or low. Whether it's big tasks or just showing up to work, pat yourself on the back because that's awesome! So share your goals here if you need a boost from us or want to inspire others.

Just give it your best shot and take care of yourself, honestly. Sometimes things are trickier than we expect, but that's part of life. You've got this-be niec to yourself as well as everyone else.

(If any old hands or new folks wanna join in with goals for the year, we're all about it!)

Hey everyone, if you're feeling a bit down in the dumps like me, honestly, raise your hand. I think I might need to take a step back from this thread for a while until my spirits lift up again.

Sometimes thins just get tough and, y'know, it's okay to acknowledge that. What helps me is thinking about how everything is temporary and, hey, there's always gonna be a brighter day ahead. So yeah, I'm hanging on to that thought-"This too shall pass."

No need for anyone to feel bad or send out pity messages, though. I just wanted to put it out there so maybe others who are feeling the same way can see they're not alone in this.

I'm not really into sending sympathy vibes, but hey, just wanted to drop a line saying we're all ears if you ever feel like chatting.

Ever had that moment where you just blurt out something, and then later it's like, "Whoa, really? Why did I say that?" You know how sometimes it feels like the universe turns on a bright light, shining a spotlight on your dumbness? That's totally happening to me right now.

Anyway, Uncle, I wanted to apologize for my earlier comment. It just didn't feel right when I read it bakc, and honestly, I should've caught that sooner. I hope everything's gotten better for you this week-sending all those good vibes, light, and love your way because sometimes we could all use a little extra care.

Personal: I'm gonna hit up dual n-back for an hour today-brain games FTW! Then maybe learn twenty new words.Trying out those tiny books for my language practice is on the agenda too.

Work stuff: First thing, gotta fire off a message to the manager asking about a fresh assignment. Also need to make a list of all user stories I've nailed and do a little comparison between their assigned dates and when they actually got done-especially if anything was delayed and why. Finally, deploying those two user stories to Dev sounds like the next big step.

I often struggle with feelngs of insignificance, which I believe everyone encounters periodically.

I recently completed another questionnaire but found myself answering similar questions repeatedly. One AI-based survey got stuck because it didn't agree with my responses regarding the added weight in a conceptual product design.Eventually, I told the system there were no issues with the design to move forward.

This week, I need to ensure my dog has enough food. Her supply is running low, and I want to have another bag ready before she runs out. Additionally, I plan to buy some chews from the pet store near work since she enjoys them.

I also need to stock up on bulk items but am concerned about carrying heavy loads due to joint pain. It's difficult when the dog is with me as well. A folding cart would be helpful, but my current financial situation doesn't allow for additional credit options that I'm ineligible for despite having one account in good standing. There are still several others to get paid off and catch up on.

Glad to hear she's all good now! Anyway, did anything happen with animal conrtol? No worries if you don't want to talk about it.

I've been having hip trouble too and honestly, walking is a total nightmare sometimes. Kudos for making it to the bus though-I hope your hip gets better soon! Take care and feel better!

Thanks, it's not as mierable as yesterday, but my knees are still giivng me grief. Got these compression wraps on them-I've been using them forever-but they're just not cutting it right now. Might catch the bus again this afternoon if I'm limping too badly.

After that phone call Saturday the 20th, nothing from them since. I guess they don't think it's a big deal though, so they probably wouldn't contact me unless there was something really urgent-like if they thought I was some kind of threat or something.

Can't wait to get groceries again. I've got this 20% off coupon from the place where I ordered before, but I have no idea why it's valid now. They say there was a mistake on my order, even though everything looked fine to me. Gotta use it by the end of the week or it's gone. Right now, I only have $4 from surveys and $15 pending from games, which takes forever to process anyway.

I repeated myself during my work duties. I also became distracted while explaining the need for a new employee ID, which turned out to be necessary because my current badge was outdated and couldn't be used to access the building anymore.

Last night, I had to pick up the toys that the dog scattered around after she tipped over her basket. She never cleans up after herself. While doing so, I heard a pop in my knee and the pain became less severe. My upper leg still hurts, but it's an improvement from earlier.

Yesterday, I took the bus because walking was difficult. Today, I hope to be able to walk again. I made a payment on another overdue bill, even though it wasn't as much as they requested, at least it's something.

I need to place a grocery order soon since tehre is hardly anything left in the refrigerator. Last night, I had very little food left to eat. I already ordered dry food for the dog because her supply was almost depleted. With my leg feeling better, I plan to go to the pet store for her other needs.

Yogi never picks up his toys either. Did your part with animal control, but they probably just followed procedure. Maybe they know that person from past issues.

Glad your hip and knee feel better, but that pop sound weird. Like when you crack knuckles?

Got dog food at 20% off, no errors needed. Hope groceries can be delivered soon.

Well, I stopped by the pet store to get some chews for my furry friend. Before heading thre, I popped into a nearby coffee shop because I was starving-I hadn't eaten since about half an hour ago. Kinda silly, right? Thought about having breakfast delivered but figured it wasn't worth the extra fees.

Then I considered grabbing something from the donut place near work, but wasn't sure how much stuff there would cost. Plus, the cfofee shop had some yummy egg white bites that sounded perfect for me.Also thought about hiting up a new sandwich spot between my workplace and the shopping center, but it was super busy at their drive-thru so I figured it'd be hectic inside too.

Nearly broke again now after making another rent payment. And I didn't buy all the groceries I wanted; like those marrow bones for the dog's Friday treat. Leaving work early to pick up some mail from the post office. Had other things in mind to grab while over there, but looks like that won't happen this time.

Need to keep an eye on my bus pass and phone bill-both due soon after each other. And I still have to cover the internet bll when payday rolls around again or else hope for a little extra cash from games and surveys.

This month, with three paychecks instead of two, I'll try making some payments on other things I need or wannt to replace or hadn't thought about before. Plus, it's another year since my move so family might chip in for something, but probably not much considering they helped out then. Don't like feeling dependent though-guess that's why I push through all this. If I keep quiet, no one feels obligated to do anything for me.

Oh, yeah? Walking a mile to catch the bus sounds like a bit of a trek these days. Back when I was walking better-like, not great but at least moving-I still had that nagging pain in my upper leg wiht every step. As for the popping noises, I guess it's probably nothing too serious, right? Like cracking knuckles or something I've never done myself, so who knows. People say it's normal unless there's pain or swelling, and fingers crossed that stays true. Specialist help is definitely a luxury I can't afford, but I try to keep things manageable with those roll-on joint relief stuffs. It helps, sometimes more than others. Plus, I'm back to taking epsom salt baths since my hot water's working again-stretching too, though it's a challenge figuring out which muscles need the most attention.

Most stuff showed up last night, which was a relief, but the plain yogurt wasn't there (she's picky abt her diet, no flavored yogurts with sugar), so I couldn't get a refund for the missing frozen fruit or whatever bag the driver supposedly forgot. The dogs got to have her regular snacks, though, so I'm heading out toay after work to grab more yogurt and fruit-I'll alsso need something for her dinner since it's not arriving till tomorrow.

Got an email about my student loans; turns out I fell behind a bit. I signed up for automatic payments right away because I didn't even realize I was late. Gotta get back on track with those!

Theer were fire trucks and police cars outside when I got home-I guess the elderly neighbors upstairs had some kind of incident. The firefighters told me they were okay, but there was a lot of commotion around their apartment for hours afterward, which made my dog pretty nervous. She barked at someone walking by later because part of the carport was taped off, and she wanted to play in the bushes nearby.

My leg still feels tight this morning even though I've stretched it out a few times. Might be the older shoes I'm wearing too-though I should probably break in my new ones moer gently so they last longer.

Thursday was a bit of a grind, but I made it out alive.
Friday? Let's see. At least half an hour devoted to deep breathing and another half hour for some back stretches-because, hey, who needs a massage when you've got time-stretched poses?
Work-wise, I'm aiming to wrap up that last story and get it the green light. Plus, there's a meeting with J on the docket.
And then comes the placeholder move to testing-I guess we're moving things along!

That's good to hear. Some people might say, "Just breathe, take it easy," but that advice isn't just a cliché. It seems you've picked up the value of breathing exercises or incorporating them as a habit. That's fantastic. Keep up the great work.

Your one-step-at-a-time approach is very smart. Continue to push forward.

Got mail, way more than expected. Mostly election ads, other crap, bills. Got health card and ID though. Resetting password at work Monday. Paid vision bill. Have an outstanding lab test bill too. Need to check HSA balance before paying that one. School I'm at had a data breach, leaked info. Not good.

Got groceries, dog got bones. Her food was there so fed her. She liked it

That's awesome, I'm glad you were able to get your mail and everything was inside-your ID and health savings card too. Sorry to hear there was a data breach though. It happened to me once with a store, so I know how stressful that can be. Here's hoping nothing bad comes out of it.
