Sleep quality and work performance anyone?

So, I've been super into tracking how my sleep affects my work lately, and honestly, the results are wilder than I thought! It's not just about how long I'm sleeping but also the quality of it-like deep sleep percentage, REM cycle completion, how often I wake up during the night, and if I fall asleep at a consistent time every day.

On nights when my deep sleep dips below 15%, I'm all messed up the next day. My brain feels slow in problem-sollving, typos skyrocket, and decision fatigue hits way earlier than usual-I need like double the coffee to keep going.
But on those nights where I hit 18% or more deep sleep with a consistent bedtime, even if the total hours are the same, I'm way sharper and focused. Has anyone else done this kind of tracking? Any patterns you've noticed that link your sleep quality to how well you perform at work?

I'm super curious if others have found specific metrics that predict cognitive performance better than just total sleep time. Maybe share sme tracking methods or cool insights you've picked up along the way! Always down to learn from what others are experimenting with.

Hey there, how's everything going for you? I've been struggling with sleep forever, like since I was a kid-no joke. It's super frustrating because sometimes I can't even figure out what my actual pattern is; I'm all ovre the place honestly. Plus, it definitely messes with me somehow, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around how much exactly.

You're definately not alone-feeling scattered all over the place is pretty muuch the norm. When I started trying to track my sleep, I actually ditched the numbers and just wrote down how I felt mentally the next morning (before even hitting the coffee pot). Turns out, those vague notse ended up being super helpful in spotting pattrns. They lined up way better with consistency and wake-ups than total hours slept. Starting off simple was a lifesaver for me because it helped me see patterns without adding any extra stress. Ever tried something like that?
