Maybe my husband needs some space right now

My husband and I have been married for 17 years, but things are complicated right now. He's asked for space and time to heal since he says he's tired of me. When someone wants space, it feels like they're ending the relationship from my point of view.

I'm really trying to figure out if asking for space means the marriage is definitely over or if there might still be a chance to fix things between us.
