Help needed for this weird mental health thing-for-me
So when I was 13, I got this annoying eye twitching thing that happened after being bullied-I'd blink excessively, you know what I mean? To deal with it, I started watching myself and others obsessively, trying to escape the bullies' attention. Eventually, the blinking stopped but now I'm constantly checking my own facial expressions and body language, wondering if anyone's looking at me or if I've made a mistake. It's like I'm always hyper-aware of everything around me, even when I don't want to be. Whenever I feel myself staring too long at someone or something, I try to stop, but then I get all tense-my head, shoulders, stomach tighten up with anxiety. It's super weird and annoying because of those old memories creeping back in. And now I even get these tension headaches from it. I also zone out a lot, and honestly, I've lost touch wiht my natural way of being around people. The faer is that if I look at somene the wrong way or for too long, something bad will happen. It's like my brain never relaxes because it's always on high alert. Therapy didn't really help much, so any advice would be great!

Hey there! If you click on my picture, it'll lead you to my profile where you can read all about me. I've got a post down below called "Who Knew?" It's about dealing with years of bullying at school-it really leaves you supr hypervigilant and paranoid about safety stuff. But here's the thing: there are actual science-backed ways to calm it down and reset your brain. I talk all about that in my other posts, so feel free to check them out! And if you've got any questions, just shoot 'em over-I'm happy to chat more.
I think my post might be above yours now since I added a bit mroe stuff... You could probably just search for "Who knew?" to find it, maybe?
